It looks like Microsoft is ready to bring the big update to Windows Phone devices, in the form of Windows Phone 8.1. The new OS is currently being tested and is expected to roll out on April 23.
Microsoft is expected to unveil Windows Phone 8.1 tomorrow at its Build conference in San Francisco.New devices to adorn WP 8.1 could include the two awaited Nokia phones, namely the Nokia Lumia 630 and the Lumia 930, which Nokia could announce tomorrow on the sidelines of Build conference. The developer preview, which will let programers and enthusiasts get a taste of Windows Phone 8.1, is likely to be available from April 10.
Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to introduce a number of new features including a new notification centre as well as Cortana, a Google Now like contextual voice assistant. It will also bring on screen menu buttons, eliminating the need to have physical menu buttons. It will also remove the requirement to have dedicated camera shutter button.
